This site is published by Rarified Life, the business behind the Preferment framework.
Rarified Life LLC offers Preferment, a research-informed framework and platform that helps people, especially high achievers approaching or in retirement, redesign life after work around values, purpose and meaningful activity. This site exists to explain that framework clearly before anyone considers the course.
Why this site exists
Rarified Life wants more high achievers to discover that conventional retirement is not the only option. This is one of a small number of websites Rarified Life publishes. It focuses on explaining Preferment as an active alternative to retirement, with guides on retirement coaching, life after work and lifestyle planning. The main Rarified Life website at rarifiedlife.com hosts the course, the free presentation and the shop.
Anne van Leynseele, founder
Anne van Leynseele built and sold a production company in Los Angeles film and television, advised Fortune 100 companies on digital strategy across three continents, served as an Attorney Advisor in the Obama Administration, and helped write the legal framework for recreational cannabis in Washington State. Today she co-owns an award-winning chocolate farm on the Big Island of Hawaii.
She wrote the book Preferment and leads the 8-week Preferment course. Rarified Life describes her as having lived four reinventions, and the framework as a way to run your own.
